CONTROL OF IMPORTS (QUOTA No. 8, THIRTEENTH PERIOD, ADDITIONAL QUOTA) ORDER, 1945.

The Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by the Control of Imports Acts, 1934 and 1937, and of and any other power them in this behalf enabling, hereby order as follows:—

1. This Order may be cited as the Control of Imports (Quota No. 8, Thirteenth Period, Additional Quota) Order, 1945.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to this Order.

3. The quota appointed by the Control of Imports (Quota No. 8, Thirteenth Period) Order, 1944 ( S. R. & O. No. 330 of 1944 ), in respect of the thirteenth quota period appointed by that Order is hereby increased by three hundred and fifty articles, to which the Control of Imports (Quota No. 8) Order, 1934 ( S. R. & O. No. 287 of 1934 ), applies, to the intent that the said three hundred and fifty articles shall be an additional quota in respect of the said thirteenth quota period, and the total quota in respect of the said thirteenth quota period shall be four hundred and seventy articles, to which the said Control of Imports (Quota No. 8) Order, 1934, applies.

4. Every application made in relation to the additional quota specified in this Order for a licence to import any quantity of the articles to which the Control of Imports (Quota No. 8) Order, 1934, applies, shall be made within seven days after the date of this Order.
