TEXTILE GOODS (ASCERTAINMENT OF WEIGHT) REGULATIONS, 1945.

The Textile Goods (Ascertainment of Weight) Regulations, 1945, dated 30th July, 1945 made by the Revenue Commissioners under Section 11 of the Customs (Temporary Provisions) Act, 1945 .

The Revenue Commissioners, in pursuance of Section 11 of the Customs (Temporary Provisions) Act, 1945 , hereby prescribe that the weight of any textile goods shall, for the purposes of the Customs Acts or any statutory instrument relating to the Customs be ascertained in the following manner :—

1. A sample of the goods shall be taken by the proper Officer of Customs and Excise.

2. The sample shall be weighed after it has been fully conditioned in air maintained at the standard conditions of 70° Fahrenheit and 65 per cent. Relative Humidity.

3. These Regulations may be cited as the Textile Goods (Ascertainment of Weight) Regulations, 1945.

4. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to the interpretation of these regulations in like manner as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of the Oireachtas.
