STATUTORY RULES AND ORDERS. 1945. No. 73.

STORES LICENSED FOR MIXED EXPLOSIVES (AMENDMENT) ORDER, 1945.

The Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 83 of the Explosives Act, 1875, as adapted by or under subsequent enactments, and of every and any other power them in that behalf enabling, hereby order as follows :—

1. This Order may be cited as the Stores Licensed for Mixed Explosives (Amendment) Order, 1945.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to this Order.

3.—(1) Where the expression " Protected Work of Class 2 " occurs in the following Orders in Council, that is to say—

(a) the Order in Council relating to Stores for Gunpowder exclusively, made on the 27th day of November, 1875, under the Explosives Act, 1875, and

(b) the Order in Council relating to Stores licensed for Mixed Explosives made on the 27th day of November, 1875, under the Explosives Act, 1875,

it shall be construed as including high voltage electrical generating stations or substations and high voltage overhead or underground electrical cables.

(2) In paragraph (1) of this Article the expression " high voltage " means a voltage normally exceeding—

(a) 250 volts to earth, or

(b) 500 volts between conductors in a system that is not earthed.
