Minister For Supplies (Transfer of Functions) Act, 1945

Adaptation of references to the Minister for Supplies in Memoranda and Articles of Association of certain companies.

8.—(1) For the purposes of the construction of the Memorandum and Articles of Association of any company to which this section applies, the references therein to the Minister for Supplies shall, on and after the appointed day, be construed as if they were references to the Minister for Industry and Commerce.

(2) On or at any time after the appointed day, any company to which this section applies may, by extraordinary resolution within the meaning of section 69 of the Companies (Consolidation) Act, 1908, make such alterations in its Memorandum and Articles of Association as are appropriate having regard to subsection (1) of this section.

(3) This section applies to any company the Memorandum and Articles of Association of which contain references to the Minister for Supplies.
