BARBERS' SHOPS (HOURS OF TRADING ON WEEK-DAYS) (DUBLIN CITY) ORDER, 1944.

I, SEÁN F. LEMASS, Minister for Industry and Commerce, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 25 of the Shops (Hours of Trading) Act, 1938 (No. 3 of 1938), and of every and any other power me in this behalf enabling and after due compliance with subsection (1) of section 4 of the said Act, hereby order as follows, that is to say :—

1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Barbers' Shops (Hours of Trading on Week-days) (Dublin City) Order, 1944.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on the 16th day of October, 1944.

2. In this Order, the expression " barber's shop " means any shop in which the business of a barber or hairdresser is carried on.

3. The county borough of Dublin shall be a trading area for the purposes of this Order and the expression " the trading area " means in this Order the said county borough.

4. It shall not be lawful for the proprietor of any barber's shop in the trading area to open or keep open such shop for the serving of customers—

(a) on any week-day (not being Saturday or the 16th day of March or the 24th day of December), before the hour of 8 a.m. or after the hour of 7.30 p.m., or

(b) on any week-day (being Saturday or the 16th day of March or the 24th day of December), before the hour of 8 a.m. or after the hour of 8.30 p.m.
