Definition No. D. 134. No. 72 OR WATERVILLE DISTRICT.

TIDAL AND FRESHWATER BOUNDARIES OF THE RIVERS CURRANE OR WATERVILLE, INNY, FERTA OR VALENTIA AND CARHAN.

I, SÉAMAS Ó RIAIN, Minister for Agriculture, by virtue and in exercise of the powers now exercisable by me under the Fisheries Acts, 1842 to 1939, and of every and any other power me in this behalf enabling do hereby define and mark out

(1) the boundary between the tidal and freshwater portions of the RIVER CURRANE or WATERVILLE in the No. 72 or Waterville District to be an imaginary straight line drawn across the said river at right angles to its course 80 yards downstream, measured along the north bank, from the downstream face of the piers of the footbridge situated below the salmon weir in the said river and connecting the townlands of Waterville and Baslickane ;

(2) the boundary between the tidal and freshwater portions of the RIVER INNY in the No. 72 or Waterville District to be the downstream face of the bridge across the said river known as Inny Bridge situated in the townlands of Kineigh, Farrannahow and Scarriff ;

(3) the boundary between the tidal and freshwater portions of the RIVER FERTA or VALENTIA in the No. 72 or Waterville District to be the townland boundary between the townlands of Deelis and Cloghane ; and

(4) the boundary between the tidal and freshwater portions of the RIVER CARHAN in the No. 72 or Waterville District to be an imaginary straight line drawn across the said river at right angles to its course 140 yards upstream from the upstream face of the bridge across the said river known as Carhan Bridge connecting the townlands of Carhan Lower and Knockaunrory.
