BY-LAW No. C.S. 93. No. 12 OR SLIGO DISTRICT.

LOUGH ARROW.

Close Season for Angling with Single Rod and Line.

I, SÉAMAS Ó RIAIN, Minister for Agriculture, in exercise of the powers now exercisable by me under the Fisheries Acts, 1842 to 1939, and of every and any other power me in this behalf enabling, do hereby make the following By-Law, that is to say :—

(1) This By-Law may be cited as the Lough Arrow Close Season By-Law No. C.S. 93, 1940.

(2) This By-Law shall come into operation on the 1st October, 1940.

(3) The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to this By-Law.

(4) So much of any existing By-Laws as appoints the period for the Annual Close Season during which it shall not be lawful to kill or take Salmon or Trout by means of single rod and line in Lough Arrow, and in the River Unshin or Arrow, between Lough Arrow and the point at which the boundary between the Townlands of Knocknacross and Doonsheheen reaches that river, and the tributaries flowing into them, all in the County of Sligo and in the No. 12 or Sligo District, shall cease to have effect.

(5) There shall be kept and observed as the Annual Close Season during which it shall not be lawful to kill or take Salmon or Trout by means of single rod and line in Lough Arrow and in the River Unshin or Arrow, between Lough Arrow and the point at which the boundary between the Townlands of Knocknacross and Doonsheheen reaches that River, and the tributaries flowing into them, the period from the first day of October in any year to the last day of February in the year following both said days inclusive.
