WEIGHTS AND MEASURES (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1940.

The Minister for Industry and Commerce in exercise of the powers conferred on him by the Weights and Measures Acts, 1878 to 1936, and of every and any other power him in this behalf enabling, hereby makes the following Regulations, that is to say :—

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Weights and Measures (Amendment) Regulations, 1940.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to these Regulations.

3. Regulation 110 of the Weights and Measures (General) Regulations, 1928 (Statutory Rules and Orders, No. 71 of 1928), is hereby amended by the deletion of the figures " 1943 " now contained therein (by virtue of the Weights and Measures (Amendment) Regulations, 1938 (Statutory Rules and Orders, No. 13 of 1938)), and the substitution of the figures " 1948 " in lieu of the figures so deleted.

4. The Weights and Measures (Amendment) Regulations, 1938 (Statutory Rules and Orders, No. 13 of 1938), are hereby revoked.
