STATUTORY RULES AND ORDERS. 1940. No. 274.

DUBLIN DISTRICT MILK BOARD (LEVY) (AMENDMENT) (NO. 2) REGULATIONS, 1940.

WHEREAS it is enacted by Section 4 of the Milk (Regulation of Supply and Price) Act, 1936 (No. 43 of 1936), that the Minister for Agriculture may by order make regulations in relation to any matter or thing referred to in the said Act as prescribed :

AND WHEREAS these Regulations relate to matters or things which are referred to in sub-sections (1) and (2) of Section 41 of the said Act as prescribed :

NOW, I, SÉAMAS Ó RIAIN, Minister for Agriculture, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by the Milk (Regulation of Supply and Price) Act, 1936 (No. 43 of 1936), and of every and any other power me in this behalf enabling, do hereby order and make the following regulations, that is to say :—

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Dublin District Milk Board (Levy) (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations, 1940.

2. In these Regulations :—

the expression " the Act " means the Milk (Regulation of Supply and Price) Act, 1936 (No. 43 of 1936) ;

the expression " the Amending Regulations " means the Dublin District Milk Board (Levy) (Amendment) Regulations, 1940 (Statutory Rules and Orders, No. 126 of 1940) ;

the expression " the Board " means the Dublin District Milk Board.

3.—(1) For the purposes of the levy payable to the Board under paragraph (b) of sub-section (1) of section 41 of the act—

(a) the prescribed sum shall, as respects the month of September, 1940, and each subsequent month, be one-seventh of a penny ;

(b) paragraph (1) of regulation 3 of the Amending Regulations shall, as respects any such month, cease to apply.

(2) For the purposes of the levy payable to the Board under paragraph (b) of sub-section (2) of section 41 of the act—

(a) the prescribed sum shall, as respects the month of September, 1940, and each subsequent month, be one-seventh of a penny ;

(b) paragraph (2) of regulation 3 of the Amending Regulations shall, as respects any such month, cease to apply.
