STATUTORY RULES AND ORDERS. 1940. No. 252.

CREAMERY BUTTER (LEVY) (No. 2) ORDER, 1940.

WHEREAS it is enacted by Section 18 of the Dairy Produce (Price Stabilisation) Act, 1935 (No. 21 of 1935) that the Minister for Agriculture may from time to time by Order make regulations prescribing the rates of levy under Part III of the said Act on creamery butter and may at any time by order revoke or amend any such order and may by any such order prescribe different rates of levy on different substances and on different classes (defined in such manner as the said Minister shall think proper) of any particular substance and the date on which any particular rate of levy shall come into force :

NOW, I, SÉAMAS O RIAIN, Minister for Agriculture, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by the Dairy Produce (Price Stabilisation) Act, 1935 (No. 21 of 1935) and of every and any other power me in this behalf enabling, do by this order make the following regulations :—

1. This order may be cited as the Creamery Butter (Levy) (No. 2) Order, 1940.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937) applies to this Order.

3. The Creamery Butter (Levy) Order, 1940 (Statutory Rules and Orders, No. 109 of 1940) is revoked as on and from the 1st day of August, 1940.

4. The rate of levy on creamery butter other than creamery butter which is put into cold store on or before the 2nd day of November, 1940, under and in accordance with an arrangement sanctioned by the Minister for Agriculture, shall be nine shillings the hundredweight and such rate shall come into force as on and from the 1st day of August, 1940.

5. No levy shall be payable on creamery butter which is put into cold store on or before the 2nd day of November, 1940, under and in accordance with an arrangement sanctioned by the Minister for Agriculture.
