ELECTIONS OF CONSERVATORS OF FISHERIES REGULATIONS, 1940.

I, SÉAMAS Ó RIAIN, Minister for Agriculture in exercise of the powers now exercisable by me under Section 9 of the Fisheries (Ireland) Act, 1848, and of every and any other power me in this behalf enabling, hereby make the following regulations, that is to say :—

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Elections of Conservators of Fisheries Regulations, 1940.

2. The following provisions shall apply and have effect in relation to every meeting for the election of conservators of fisheries to be chosen for any electoral division held in the year 1940 or any subsequent year, that is to say :—

(a) such election shall commence at the hour and on the day named in the notice for such meeting published, in pursuance of section 14 of the Fisheries (Ireland) Act, 1848, by the board of conservators for the fishery district in which such electoral division is situate,

(b) no votes shall be received after three o'clock in the afternoon of the day named in the said notice, and

(c) the hour named in the said notice shall be such as to secure that the period during which votes may be received shall be not less than three hours.
