REPAYMENT OF COMPENSATION LOAN REGULATIONS, 1940.

REGULATIONS MADE BY THE MINISTER FOR LOCAL GOVERNMENT AND PUBLIC HEALTH UNDER THE NATIONAL HEALTH INSURANCE ACTS, 1911 TO 1936.

Dated this 3rd day of September, 1940.

The Minister for Local Government and Public Health in exercise of the powers conferred on him by the National Health Insurance Acts, 1911 to 1936, and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Regulations :—

1. These Regulations may be cited as the National Health Insurance (Repayment of Compensation Loan) Regulations, 1940.

2.—(1) In these Regulations, unless the context otherwise requires, the following expressions have the respective meanings hereby assigned to them :—

"The Act" means the National Health Insurance Act, 1933 (No. 13 of 1933).

"The Minister" means the Minister for Local Government and Public Health.

"Society" means Cumann an Árachais Náisiúnta ar Shláinte.

(2) The Interpretation Act, 1937 , applies to these Regulations.

3. In respect of moneys advanced by the Minister out of the National Health Insurance Fund under section 24 of the Act to meet the payment of compensation :

(a) the Society shall pay interest for each of the years 1939 and 1940 at the rate of 4 per cent., being the rate determined by the Minister for Finance.

(b) the Society shall repay as at 1st April, 1939, the sum of £15,023, as at 31st December, 1939, the sum of £3,438, and as at 31st December, 1940, the sum of £3,971.
