STATUTORY RULES AND ORDERS. 1940. No. 139.

FIRST AID REGULATIONS, 1940.

The Minister for Industry and Commerce, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 79 of the Factory and Workshop Act, 1901, as adapted by or under subsequent enactments, and of every and any other power him in this behalf enabling hereby makes the following regulations :

1. These Regulations may be cited as the First Aid Regulations, 1940.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to these Regulations.

3. Every requisition contained in any of the Regulations mentioned in the Schedule to these Regulations that a first-aid box or cupboard shall be marked plainly with a white cross on a red ground shall, in relation to every first-aid box or cupboard newly provided after the making of these Regulations, have effect as a requisition that such first-aid box or cupboard shall be plainly marked "FIRST AID".

SCHEDULE.

1. The Aerated Water Regulations, 1921 (Statutory Rules and Orders, No. 1932 of 1921).

2. The Chemical Works Regulations, 1923 (Statutory Rules and Orders, No. 14 of 1923).

3. The Docks Regulations, 1928 (Statutory Rules and Orders, No. 69 of 1928).

4. The Building Regulations, 1930 (Statutory Rules and Orders, No. 33 of 1930).
