THE TELEGRAPH (FOREIGN WRITTEN TELEGRAM) (AMENDMENT) (No. 2) REGULATIONS, 1940.

FOREIGN WRITTEN TELEGRAMS.

DATED 9TH FEBRUARY, 1940.

I, PATRICK JOHN LITTLE, T.D., Minister for Posts and Telegraphs, Éire, do by virtue of the powers invested in me by the Telegraph Acts, 1863 to 1928, and of every other power enabling me in this behalf, and with the consent of the Minister for Finance, order, direct and declare as follows :—

1. These Regulations shall be read as one with the Telegraph (Foreign Written Telegram) Regulations, 1906, dated 16th July, 1906 (hereinafter called " the Principal Regulations").

2. The Telegram (Foreign Written Telegram) Amendment (No. 1) Regulations, 1915, are hereby repealed.

3. The Principal Regulations shall henceforth be read as if Regulation No. 3 thereof had not been repealed by the said Telegraph (Foreign Written Telegram) Amendment (No. 1) Regulations, 1915.

4. In addition to all other charges payable under the Principal Regulations in respect of a telegram accepted for transmission in code language there shall be charged and paid by the sender of such telegram the sum of one shilling for services rendered in connection therewith.

5. These Regulations may be cited as " The Telegraph (Foreign Written Telegram) Amendment (No. 2) Regulations, 1940."

6. These Regulations shall come into operation on the 19th day of February, 1940.
