STATUTORY RULES AND ORDERS. 1939. No. 349.

WATERFORD PRISON CLOSING ORDER, 1939.

WHEREAS it is enacted by subsection (1) of Section 2 of the Prisons Act, 1933 (No. 51 of 1933), that the Minister for Justice may by Order direct that any particular prison shall be closed as on and from a specified date :

NOW, the Minister for Justice, in exercise of the power conferred upon him by subsection (1) of Section 2 of the Prisons Act, 1933 (No. 51 of 1933), and of every and any other power him in this behalf enabling, hereby orders as follows :—

1. This Order may be cited as the Waterford Prison Closing Order, 1939.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to this Order.

3. The Prison at Waterford in the County Borough of Waterford shall be closed as on and from the 1st day of December, 1939.
