STATUTORY RULES AND ORDERS. 1938. No. 250.

FLAX (MINIMUM VALUE FOR SALE SEASON 1938-39) ORDER, 1938.

WHEREAS it is enacted by sub-section (1) of section 20 of the Flax Act, 1936 (No. 20 of 1936), that before the beginning of every sale season the Minister for Agriculture shall by order fix the value per stone which shall be the minimum value for the purposes of the said Act in respect of such sale season:

NOW, I, SÉAMAS O RIAIN, Minister for Agriculture, in pursuance of sub-section (1) of section 20 of the Flax Act, 1936 (No. 20 of 1936), and in exercise of the powers conferred on me by the said sub-section and of every and any other power me in this behalf enabling, do hereby order as follows :—

1. This Order may be cited as the Flax (Minimum Value for Sale Season 1938-39) Order, 1938.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to this Order.

3. Five shillings and nine pence per stone is hereby fixed as the value per stone which shall be the minimum value for the purposes of the Flax Act, 1936 (No. 20 of 1936), in respect of the sale season commencing on the 1st day of October, 1938, and ending on the 31st day of March, 1939.
