BACON AND PIGS (QUOTA) (No. 8) ORDER, 1938.

I, SÉAMAS O RIAIN, Minister for Agriculture, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by Section 2 of the Agricultural Products (Regulation of Export) Act, 1933 (No. 26 of 1933), as amended by the Agricultural Products (Regulation of Export) (Amendment) Act, 1935 (No. 15 of 1935), and of every and any other power me in this behalf enabling, do hereby order as follows:—

1. This Order may be cited for all purposes as the Bacon and Pigs (Quota) (No. 8) Order, 1938.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to this Order.

3. For the purposes of the Bacon and Pigs (Regulation of Export) Order, 1933, the following provisions shall have effect, that is to say:—

(a) the month of August, 1938, shall be a quota period;

(b) 53,015 hundredweights of bacon shall be the bacon quota in respect of the said quota period;

(c) 2,183 pigs shall be the pig quota in respect of the said quota period;

(d) 133 hundredweights of pig carcases shall be the carcase quota in respect of the said quota period.
