ROAD VEHICLES (INTERNATIONAL CIRCULATION) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1938.

DEPARTMENT OF LOCAL GOVERNMENT AND PUBLIC HEALTH.

WHEREAS by the Road Vehicles (International Circulation) Regulations, 1934 and 1937, the Minister for Local Government and Public Health in exercise of the powers conferred on him by Section 13 of the Finance Act, 1920, by Section 12 of the Roads Act, 1920, by the Motor Car (International Circulation) Order, 1931, and by the Motor Car (International Circulation) (Amendment) Order, 1934, and in exercise of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, did make regulations providing for, amongst other things, the issue of international circulation permits to persons who reside outside Ireland in respect of vehicles brought by such persons into Ireland for use during a temporary stay in Ireland.

AND WHEREAS it is now expedient that the said regulations be amended in manner hereinafter appearing.

NOW, THEREFORE, the Minister for Local Government and Public Health in exercise of all the powers hereinbefore recited, hereby makes and prescribes the following regulations, that is to say:

1. These regulations may be cited as "the Road Vehicles (International Circulation) (Amendment) Regulations, 1938."

2. In these regulations the expression "the Principal Regulations" means the Road Vehicles (International Circulation) Regulations, 1934.

3. The Road Vehicles (International Circulation) Regulations, 1934 and 1937, and these Regulations shall be read together and may be cited collectively as "the Road Vehicles (International Circulation) Regulations, 1934 to 1938."

4. Sub-article (3) of Article 8 and sub-article (3) of Article 9 of the Principal Regulations shall not have effect in respect of any vehicle which is registered in any of the following countries, that is to say:—

Belgium.

Italy.
