CONTROL OF PRICES ACT, 1937 (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1938.

WHEREAS it is enacted by sub-section (2) of Section 1 of the Control of Prices Act, 1937 (No. 26 of 1937), that the said Act shall come into operation on such day as may be fixed therefor by order of the Minister for Industry and Commerce:

NOW, THEREFORE, the Minister for Industry and Commerce, in exercise of the power conferred on him by sub-section (2) of Section 1 of the Control of Prices Act, 1937 (No. 26 of 1937), and of every and any other power him in this behalf enabling, hereby orders as follows:—

1. This Order may be cited as the Control of Prices Act, 1937 (Commencement) Order, 1938.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to this Order.

3. The 14th day of February, 1938, is hereby fixed as the day on which the Control of Prices Act, 1937 (No. 26 of 1937), shall came into operation.
