STATUTORY RULES AND ORDERS. 1938. No. 24.

UNEMPLOYMENT ASSISTANCE (AMENDMENT) ACT, 1938(SECTION 4) (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1938.

WHEREAS it is enacted by subsection (4) of section 4 of the Unemployment Assistance (Amendment) Act, 1938 (No. 2 of 1938), that the Minister for Industry and Commerce may by order appoint a day to be the day upon which the said section shall come into operation:

NOW, THEREFORE, the Minister for Industry and Commerce, in exercise of the power conferred on him by subsection (4) of section 4 of the Unemployment Assistance (Amendment) Act, 1938 (No. 2 of 1938), and of every and any other power him in this behalf enabling, hereby orders as follows, that is to say:—

1. This Order may be cited as the Unemployment Assistance (Amendment) Act, 1938 (Section 4) (Commencement) Order, 1938.

2. The 26th day of January, 1938, is hereby appointed to be the day upon which section 4 of the Unemployment Assistance (Amendment) Act, 1938 (No. 2 of 1938), shall come into operation.
