DOONBEG BAY AND RIVER.

I, SÉAMAS Ó RIAIN, Minister for Agriculture, by virtue and in exercise of the powers vested in me by Section 28 of the Fisheries Act, 1925 , the Fisheries (Re-distribution of Public Services) Order, 1934, and of every other power enabling me in this behalf, DO MAKE AND ORDAIN THE FOLLOWING BY-LAW :—

(1) The period heretofore appointed for the Annual Close Season during which it shall not be lawful to take Salmon or Trout with engines other than single rod and line in Doonbeg Bay and River, within or to the Southward of a line from Killard Point (the north-eastern extremity of the townland of Killard) to a point on the shore of Doonbeg townland half a mile west of the mouth of the Creegh or Skivileen River in the County of Clare, in the No. 8 or Limerick District, shall cease.

(2) There shall be kept and observed in lieu thereof as the Annual Close Season during which it shall not be lawful to take Salmon or Trout with engines other than single rod and line in Doonbeg Bay and River within or to the southward of the aforesaid line, the period from 1st August in each year to 14th April in the year following, both said days inclusive.

(3) The Interpretation Act, 1923 (No. 46 of 1923), applies to the interpretation of this By-Law in like manner as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of the Oireachtas.

(4) This By-Law may be cited for all purposes as the Doonbeg Bay Close Season By-Law, No. C.S. 92, 1937.
