BY-LAW No. 429 No. 8 or LIMERICK DISTRICT.

BUNRATTY or OWENOGARNEY RIVER.

I, SÉAMAS Ó RIAIN, Minister for Agriculture, by virtue and in exercise of the powers vested in me by Section 28 of the Fisheries Act, 1925 , the Fisheries (Re-distribution of Public Services) Order, 1934, and of every other power enabling me in this behalf, DO MAKE AND ORDAIN THE FOLLOWING BY-LAW:—

(1) It is prohibited to catch or attempt to catch fish by any means in the part of the Bunratty or Owenogarney River situated between the mill weir at Sixmile-bridge and a line drawn across the river, at right angles to its course, at a point 45 yards above the upstream face of the road bridge adjoining Main Street.

(2) It is prohibited to carry or have in possession in or on the banks of the said part of the river any rod, net or other instrument intended or capable of being used for catching fish.

(3) Each and every person offending against this By-law shall forfeit and pay for each offence a sum not exceeding Five Pounds, and any rod, net or other instrument used or found in contravention of this By-law shall be forfeited.

(4) The Interpretation Act, 1923 , (No. 46 of 1923) applies as to the interpretation of this By-law in like manner as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of the Oireachtas.

(5) This By-law may be cited for all purposes as the Bunratty River By-law No. 429, 1936.
