STATUTORY RULES AND ORDERS. 1937. No. 198.

INFANT AND INVALID FOODS ORDER, 1937.

WHEREAS it is enacted by sub-section (1) of Section 5 of the Creamery (Amendment) Act, 1934 (No. 33 of 1934), that the Minister for Agriculture may by order declare that the said Section shall apply to any specified description of business which consists wholly or substantially of the making for sale of any specified description of article of which a specified milk product or by-product is an ingredient:

NOW, I, SÉAMAS O RIAIN, Minister for Agriculture, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sub-section (1) of Section 5 of the Creamery (Amendment) Act, 1934 (No. 33 of 1934), and of every and any other power me in this behalf enabling, do hereby order as follows:—

1. This Order may be cited as the Infant and Invalid Foods Order, 1937.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1923 (No. 46 of 1923), applies to the interpretation of this Order in like manner at it applies to the interpretation of an Act of the Oireachtas.

3. Section 5 of the Creamery (Amendment) Act, 1934 (No. 33 of 1934 ), shall apply to the business of making for sale any article which is a prepared food primarily intended for consumption by infants or invalids, and of which dried or powdered milk is an ingredient.
