BREAD (STANDARD PRICE OF FLOUR) (No. 5) ORDER, 1937.

THE BREAD (STANDARD PRICE OF FLOUR) (No. 5) ORDER 1937, MADE BY THE ACTING MINISTER FOR INDUSTRY AND COMMERCE ON THE 9TH DAY OF JUNE, 1937, PURSUANT TO THE BREAD (REGULATION OF PRICES) ACT, 1936 .

WHEREAS it is enacted by sub-section (1) of Section 2 of the Bread (Regulation of Prices) Act, 1936 , that, subject to the provisions of the said Section, the Minister for Industry and Commerce may, whenever and so often as he thinks fit, by order under the said sub-section fix, for the purposes of the said Act, the price of flour for any specified area, and the price so fixed shall, so long as such order remains in force, be, for the purposes of the said Act, the standard price of flour for such area; and it is further enacted by sub-section (3) of the said section that the said Minister may by order under such sub-section revoke any order made under sub-section (1) of the said section :

AND WHEREAS by sub-section (4) of Section 2 of the said Act it is enacted that the said Minister shall, before making any order under the said section, consult with the Milling Advisory Committee established under Section 10 of the Agricultural Produce (Cereals) Act, 1933 (No. 7 of 1933) :

NOW, THEREFORE, the Acting Minister for Industry and Commerce in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sub-sections (1) and (3) of Section 2 of the Bread (Regulation of Prices) Act, 1936 , (No. 29 of 1936), and of all and every power him in this behalf enabling and having before making this order consulted with the Milling Advisory Committee, hereby orders as follows :—

1. This Order may be cited for all purposes as the Bread (Standard Price of Flour) (No. 5) Order, 1937.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1923 (No. 46 of 1923), applies to the interpretation of this Order in like manner as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of the Oireachtas.

3. The standard price of flour for the purposes of the Bread (Regulation of Prices) Act, 1936 , for the area specified hereunder shall, so long as this Order remains in force, be forty-eight shillings per sack of 280 lbs.

Area—The whole of Saorstát Eireann.

4. The Bread (Standard Price of Flour) (No. 4) Order, 1937, is hereby revoked.
