GALWAY HARBOUR ACT, 1935, (CONTRIBUTION) ORDER, 1937.

GALWAY HARBOUR ACT, 1935 (CONTRIBUTIONS) ORDER, 1937, MADE BY THE MINISTER FOR INDUSTRY AND COMMERCE PURSUANT TO SECTION 47 of THE GALWAY HARBOUR ACT, 1935 .

WHEREAS it is enacted by section 47 of the Galway Harbour Act, 1935 , that subject to the provisions of that section the County Council of the County of Galway and the Galway Urban District Council shall each make to the Board known as the Galway Harbour Commissioners an annual contribution in money (in that section referred to as the County contribution and the Urban contribution respectively) for the local financial year beginning on the first day of April in such calendar year as the Minister for Industry and Commerce by order determines and for each succeeding local financial year

NOW, THEREFORE, the Minister for Industry and Commerce, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by Section 47 of the said Act and of every and any other power him in this behalf enabling hereby orders as follows:—

1. This Order may be cited for all purposes as the Galway Harbour Act, 1935 (Contributions) Order, 1937.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1923 , shall apply to the interpretation of this Order in like manner as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of the Oireachtas.

3. For the purpose of section 47 of the Galway Harbour Act, 1935 , the calendar year referred to therein shall be the year one thousand nine hundred and thirty-seven.
