STATUTORY RULES AND ORDERS. 1937. No. 82.

AGRICULTURAL WAGES ACT, 1936 (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1937.

WHEREAS it is enacted by sub-section (2) of section 24 of the Agricultural Wages Act, 1936 (No. 53 of 1936), that the said Act shall come into operation on such day as may be fixed therefor by order of the Minister for Agriculture:

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Séamas O Riain, Minister for Agriculture, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sub-section (2) of section 24 of the Agricultural Wages Act, 1936 (No. 53 of 1936), and of every and any other power me in this behalf enabling, hereby order as follows, that is to say:—

1. This Order may be cited as the Agricultural Wages Act, 1936 (Commencement) Order, 1937.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1923 (No. 46 of 1923), applies to the interpretation of this Order in like manner as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of the Oireachtas.

3. The 22nd day of April, 1937, is hereby fixed as the day on which the Agricultural Wages Act, 1936 (No. 53 of 1936), shall come into operation.
