STATUTORY RULES AND ORDERS. 1937. No. 43.

PIGS AND BACON ACT, 1935 (PART II) (APPOINTED DAY) ORDER, 1937.

WHEREAS by virtue of the Pigs and Bacon Act, 1935 (Parts I and II) (Commencement) Order, 1935 (Statutory Rules and Orders No. 187 of 1935), Parts I and II of the Pigs and Bacon Act, 1935 (No. 24 of 1935), came into operation on the 18th day of July, 1935;

AND WHEREAS it is enacted by Section 6 (being a Section contained in Part II of the said Act) of the said Act that the Minister for Agriculture may by Order appoint a day to be the appointed day for the purposes of the said Part II;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, SÉAMAS O RIAIN, Minister for Agriculture, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by Section 6 of the Pigs and Bacon Act, 1935 (No. 24 of 1935), and of every and any other power me in this behalf enabling, do hereby order as follows:—

1. This Order may be cited as the Pigs and Bacon Act, 1935 (Part II) (Appointed Day) Order, 1937.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1923 (No. 46 of 1923), applies to the interpretation of this Order in like manner as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of the Oireachtas.

3. The 1st day of April, 1937, is hereby appointed to be the appointed day for the purposes of Part II of the Pigs and Bacon Act, 1935 (No. 24 of 1935).
