THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT (TEMPORARY PROVISIONS) ACT, 1923 .

LOUTH COUNTY SCHEME.

TO THE COUNCIL OF THE ADMINISTRATIVE COUNTY OF LOUTH; TO THE LOUTH BOARD OF HEALTH AND PUBLIC ASSISTANCE; AND TO ALL OTHERS WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:

WHEREAS by an Order under his Seal of Office bearing date the seventeenth day of April, 1924, called the Louth County Scheme Order, 1924, the Minister for Local Government, in pursuance of Section 4 of the Local Government (Temporary Provisions) Act, 1923 (hereinafter referred to as "the Act"), did confirm the Scheme prepared by the Council of the Administrative County of Louth in accordance with the provisions of the Act for the relief of the poor in their county, and submitted to him with such modifications, omissions and additions as should bring it into conformity with the provisions of the Scheme set out in the Schedule to the said Order (which said provisions are in the said Order, and in this Order referred to as "the Louth County Scheme"):

AND WHEREAS the powers and duties of the Minister for Local Government are now vested in the Minister for Local Government and Public Health (hereinafter referred to as "the Minister"):

AND WHEREAS the Louth County Scheme has come into operation and the Minister did in pursuance of Section 5 of the Act by the County Schemes (General Amendment) Order, 1925, amend the Louth County Scheme:

AND WHEREAS the Minister deems it necessary further to amend the Louth County Scheme in the manner hereinafter appearing, and did on the nineteenth day of March, 1936, give to the Council of the Administrative County of Louth one month's notice of hisintention to make the said amendment, and has taken into consideration any representation which has been made to him by the said Council within such month in respect of the said amendment:

NOW, THEREFORE, the Minister in exercise of the powers given to him by Section 5 of the Act, and of all other powers in this behalf enabling him, the said month having expired, by this his order, orders and directs as follows, that is to say:—

1. From and after the date hereof the Louth County Scheme shall be amended by inserting in Article 12 thereof after sub-article (1) the following additional sub-article, that is to say:—

"(i) ( a ) From and after the First day of July, 1936, the Joint Committee of the Louth County Infirmary shall be abolished under Section 7 of the Local Government (Temporary Provisions) Act, 1923 , and their powers and duties in relation to the relief of the poorin the County, as modified by the said Act and by this Scheme, shall be transferred to the Board of Health."

2. This Order may be cited as the Louth County Scheme (Amendment) Order, 1936.
