BEEF SUPPLY (PRICE TO RECIPIENTS) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1936.

WHEREAS the Minister for Agriculture in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 3 and 19 of the Slaughter of Cattle and Sheep (Amendment) Act, 1935 (No. 37 of 1935), made, with the consent of the Minister for Finance, the Beef Supply (Price to Recipients) Regulations, 1935 (Statutory Rules and Orders, No. 602 of 1935) :

AND WHEREAS it is expedient to amend the said Regulations :

NOW, I, SÉAMAS O RIAIN, Minister for Agriculture, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by the Slaughter of Cattle and Sheep (Amendment) Act, 1935 (No. 37 of 1935), and of every and any other power me in this behalf enabling, do, with the consent of the Minister for Finance, hereby order and make the following regulations, that is to say :—

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Beef Supply (Price to Recipients) (Amendment) Regulations, 1936.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1923 (No. 46 of 1923), applies to the interpretation of these Regulations in like manner as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of the Oireachtas.

3. Paragraph 3 of the Beef Supply (Price to Recipients) Regulations, 1935, is hereby amended by the substitution of the words " three pence " for the words " two pence " now contained therein, to the intent that the rate per pound at which the price payable (under the Slaughter of Cattle and Sheep Acts, 1934 and 1935) by recipients for beef is to be calculated shall be three pence per pound and the said Regulations shall be construed and have effect accordingly.

4. These Regulations shall come into operation on the 6th day of April, 1936.
