THE OLD AGE PENSIONS COMMITTEES (CLERKS) ORDER, 1936.

THE OLD AGE PENSIONS COMMITTEES (CLERKS) ORDER, 1936.

WHEREAS the Minister for Local Government and Public Health (in this Order referred to as "the Minister") by the Old Age Pensions Committees (Clerks) Order, 1932 (being an Order made by the Minister in exercise of the powers vested in him by virtue of Section 15 of the Local Government (Temporary Provisions) Act, 1923 , and Section 8 of the Old Age Pensions Act, 1932 ) did make regulations with respect to the office of clerk of a sub-committee appointed by a local pensions sub-committee under the Old Age Pensions Acts, 1908 to 1932:

AND WHEREAS it is now expedient to make the further regulations hereinafter appearing in relation to the appointment of persons to the said office:

NOW THEREFORE the Minister, in exercise of the said powers, hereby orders as follows, that is to say :

1.—In this Order the expression " the principal Order " means the Old Age Pensions Committees (Clerks) Order, 1932.

2.—Article 5 of the principal Order shall cease to have effect.

3.—(1) Whenever a vacancy occurs in the office of clerk of a local pensions sub-committee the sub-committee shall notify such vacancy to the clerk of the local pensions committee, who shall with all reasonable speed cause to be inserted once in some newspaper circulating in the district an advertisement in the form set forth in the Schedule to this Order.

(2) No person shall be appointed to the office of clerk of a local pensions sub-committee unless and until the provisions of the foregoing sub-article have been complied with.

4.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Old Age Pensions Committees (Clerks) Order, 1936.

(2) This Order shall be read as one with the principal Order.

(3) The principal Order and this Order may be cited together as the Old Age Pensions Committees (Clerks) Order, 1932 and 1936.
