HOUSING (SCALE OF MAPS) REGULATIONS, 1935.

DEPARTMENT OF LOCAL GOVERNMENT AND PUBLIC HEALTH.

THE HOUSING (MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS) ACT, 1931 .

The Minister for Local Government and Public Health in exercise of the powers vested in him by sub-section (1) of Section 45 of the Housing (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 1931 , and of all other powers in this behalf enabling him, does hereby make the following regulations, that is to say:—

1. (1) These Regulations may be cited as the Housing (Scale of Maps) Regulations, 1935.

(2) The Interpretation Act, 1923 , applies to the interpretation of these Regulations in like manner as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of the Oireachtas.

2. (1) Every map to which this Regulation applies shall be upon a scale of not less than one inch to every 88 feet.

(2) This Regulation shall apply to the following maps:—

(a) the map on which a clearance area is defined;

(b) the map by reference to which, the area to which a clearance order applies, is described; and

(c) the map by reference to which, the lands to which a compulsory purchase order applies, is described, where the lands to which such order applies are lands comprised in a clearance area or lands surrounded by or adjoining a clearance area.

3. Where a compulsory purchase order applies to lands proposed to be acquired for the purposes of Part III of the Housing of the Working Classes Act, 1890, as amended by any subsequent enactment the map by reference to which such lands are described shall be upon a scale of not less than one inch to every 220 feet.
