S.I. No. 352/1935 - Cheese (Levy and Bounty) Order, 1935.

CHEESE (LEVY AND BOUNTY) ORDER, 1935.

WHEREAS it is enacted by section 18 of the Dairy Produce (Price Stabilisation) Act, 1935 (No. 21 of 1935), that the Minister for Agriculture may from time to time by order make regulations prescribing the rates of levy under Part III of the said Act on milk products, and the date on which any particular rate of levy shall come into force:

AND WHEREAS it is enacted by section 34 of the said Act that the Minister for Agriculture may from time to time by order make regulations prescribing the rates of bounty under Part VII of the said Act on milk products, and the date on which any particular rate of bounty shall come into force:

AND WHEREAS by virtue of section 3 of the said Act raw cheese and processed cheese are milk products for the purposes of the said Act:

NOW, I, SÉAMAS O RIAIN, Minister for Agriculture, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by the Dairy Produce (Price Stabilisation) Act, 1935 (No. 21 of 1935), and of every and any other power me in this behalf enabling, do by this order make the following regulations:—

1. This Order may be cited as the Cheese (Levy and Bounty) Order, 1935.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1923 (No. 46 of 1923), applies to the interpretation of this Order in like manner as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of the Oireachtas.

3. The rate of levy on raw cheese shall be nine shillings the hundredweight, and such rate shall come into force on the 1st day of July, 1935.

4. The rate of levy on processed cheese shall be twelve shillings the hundredweight and such rate shall come into force on the 1st day of July, 1935.

5. The rate of bounty on raw cheese shall be twenty-four shillings the hundredweight, and such rate shall come into force on the 1st day of July, 1935.

6. The rate of bounty on processed cheese shall be twenty-seven shillings the hundredweight, and such rate shall come into force on the 1st day of July, 1935.
