STATUTORY RULES AND ORDERS. 1935. No. 187.

PIGS AND BACON ACT, 1935 (PARTS I AND II) (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1935.

WHEREAS it is enacted by sub-section (2) of Section I of the Pigs and Bacon Act, 1935 (No. 24. of 1935), that the said Act shall come into operation on such day or days as shall be fixed therefor by an order made by the Minister for Agriculture, either generally or with reference to any particular Part or provision, and different days may be so fixed for different Parts and different provisions of the said Act:

AND WHEREAS it is expedient that Parts I and II of the said Act should come into operation on the eighteenth day of July, 1935:

NOW, THEREFORE, I, SÉAMAS O RIAIN, Minister for Agriculture, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sub-section (2) of Section 1 of the Pigs and Bacon Act, 1935 (No. 24 of 1935), and of every and any other power me in this behalf enabling, do hereby order as follows:—

1. This Order may be cited as the Pigs and Bacon Act, 1935 (Parts I and II) (Commencement) Order, 1935.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1923 (No. 46 of 1923), applies to the interpretation of this Order in like manner as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of the Oireachtas.

3. The 18th day of July, 1935, is hereby fixed as the day on which Parts I and II of the Pigs and Bacon Act, 1935 (No. 24 of 1935), shall come into operation.
