STATUTORY RULES AND ORDERS. 1935. No. 46.

CONTROL OF IMPORTS (QUOTA No. 2) (AMENDMENT) ORDER, 1935.

WHEREAS by Section 3 of the Control of Imports Act, 1934 (No. 12 of 1934), power to make certain orders (in that Act called quota orders) is conferred on the Executive Council :

AND WHEREAS it is enacted by Section 11 of the said Act that the Executive Council may at any time by order amend any quota order or other order previously made under that Act :

AND WHEREAS the Control of Imports (Quota No. 2) Order, 1934 (Statutory Rules and Orders, No. 231 of 1934), is a quota order made by the Executive Council under the said power conferred on them by Section 3 of the said Act :

NOW, the Executive Council, in exercise of the power conferred on them by Section 11 of the Control of Imports Act, 1934 (No. 12 of 1934), and of every and any other power them in this behalf enabling, do hereby order as follows :—

1. This Order may be cited as the Control of Imports (Quota No. 2) (Amendment) Order, 1935.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1923 (No. 46 of 1923), applies to the interpretation of this Order in like manner as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of the Oireachtas.

3. So much of paragraph 4 of the Control of Imports (Quota No. 2) Order, 1934 (Statutory Rules and Orders, No. 231 of 1934), as declares that the inner tube of a pneumatic tyre shall be deemed to be a pneumatic tyre for the purposes of that Order, shall, on the 1st day of April, 1935, cease to have effect, and accordingly, as on and from that date, the outer cover only of a pneumatic tyre shall be deemed to be a pneumatic tyre for the purposes of the said Order, and the expression " pneumatic tyre " shall, in the said Order, be construed as meaning such outer cover only, and the said Order shall, as on and from the said date, have effect accordingly.
