STATUTORY RULES AND ORDERS. 1934. No. 194.

BACON AND PIGS (REGULATION OF EXPORT) ORDER, 1933 (AMENDMENT) ORDER, 1934.

WHEREAS it is enacted by subsection (2) of Section 2 of the Agricultural Products (Regulation of Export) Act, 1933 (No. 26 of 1933), that the Minister for Agriculture may by order revoke or amend an order previously made under the said section:

AND WHEREAS an order entitled the "Bacon and Pigs (Regulation of Export) Order, 1933" (in this Order referred to as "the principal order") was made by the Minister for Agriculture under the said section on the 8th day of December, 1933:

AND WHEREAS it is expedient that the principal order should be amended:

NOW, I, SÉAMAS Ó RIAIN, Minister for Agriculture, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by subsection (2) of Section 2 of the Agricultural Products (Regulation of Export) Act, 1933 (No. 26 of 1933), and of every and any other power me in this behalf enabling, do hereby order as follows:—

1. —(1) This Order may be cited for all purposes as the Bacon and Pigs (Regulation of Export) Order, 1933 (Amendment) Order, 1934.

(2) This Order shall come into force on the 8th day of August, 1934, and shall be read as one with the principal order.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1923 (No. 46 of 1923), applies to the interpretation of this Order in like manner as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of the Oireachtas.

3. The principal order shall be amended by the deletion in Article 2 thereof of the words "the word 'bacon' includes ham" and the substitution therefor of the words "the word 'bacon' means the carcase of a pig or any part thereof which has been salted, pickled or otherwise cured other than the head, feet rind and offals and includes ham."
