STATUTORY RULES AND ORDERS. 1934. No. 174.

HOME GROWN WHEAT (STANDARD PRICES) ORDER, 1934.

WHEREAS it is enacted by sub-section (2) of Section 67 of the Agricultural Produce (Cereals) Act, 1933 (No. 7 of 1933), that the Executive Council shall from time to time by Order fix for the purposes of Part V of the said Act in respect of every sale (Wheat) season (other than the sale (wheat) seasons set out in the Second Schedule to the said Act) the price per barrel for home-grown millable wheat and whenever any such Order is made the price per barrel fixed by such Order shall, subject to the provisions of the said section, be for the purposes of the said Part V the standard price per barrel for home-grown millable wheat in respect of every sale (wheat) season to which such Order relates and where any such Order relates to two or more sale (wheat) seasons different standard prices may be fixed in respect of different sale (wheat) seasons; and it is enacted by sub-section (3) of the said Section 67, that every Order made under the said sub-section (2) shall be made not later than two years before the commencement of the sale (wheat) season to which it relates ;

NOW, the Executive Council in pursuance of sub-section (2) of Section 67 of the Agricultural Produce (Cereals) Act, 1933 (No. 7 of 1933)and in exercise of the powers conferred on them by the said sub-section and of every other power them in this behalf enabling do hereby Order as follows:—

1. This Order may be cited for all purposes as the Home Grown Wheat (Standard Prices) Order, 1934.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1923 (No. 46 of 1923), applies to the interpretation of this Order in like manner as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of the Oireachtas.

3. The standard price per barrel for home-grown millable wheat for each sale (wheat) season set out in the first column of the Schedule to this Order shall be the price per barrel set out in the second column of the said Schedule opposite the mention of such sale (wheat) season.
