THE UNEMPLOYMENT ASSISTANCE (QUALIFICATION CERTIFICATES)(DATE OF OPERATION) ORDER, 1934.

THE UNEMPLOYMENT ASSISTANCE (QUALIFICATION CERTIFICATES) (DATE OF OPERATION) ORDER, 1934, MADE BY THE MINISTER FOR INDUSTRY AND COMMERCE ON THE 23rd DAY OF FEBRUARY, 1934, PURSUANT TO SECTION 3 of THE UNEMPLOYMENT ASSISTANCE ACT, 1933 .

WHEREAS it is enacted by Section 3 of the Unemployment Assistance Act, 1933 , that so much of the said Act as authorises persons to apply for qualification certificates shall come into operation in relation to every urban area and in relation to every part of Saorstát Eireann not included in any urban area on such day or days as may be appointed by an Order of the Minister for Industry and Commerce made with the concurrence of the Minister for Finance.

AND WHEREAS the Minister for Finance has concurred in the making of this Order.

NOW, THEREFORE, the Minister for Industry and Commerce, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by Section 3 of the Unemployment Assistance Act, 1933 , and of every and any other power him in this behalf enabling hereby orders as follows, that is to say :—

1. Expressions in this Order have the same meaning as they have in the Act.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1923 , applies to the interpretation of this Order in like manner as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of the Oireachtas.

3. So much of the Unemployment Assistance Act, 1933 , as authorise persons to apply for qualification certificates shall come into operation in relation to every urban area and in relation to every part of Saorstát Eireann not included in any urban area on the first day of March, 1934.

This Order may be cited for all purposes as the Unemployment Assistance (Qualification Certificates) (Date of Operation) Order, 1934.
