THE MERCHANT SHIPPING (SAFETY AND LOAD LINE CONVENTIONS) ORDER 1933.

The Merchant Shipping (Safety and Load Line Conventions) Order, 1933, made by the Minister for Industry and Commerce on the 22nd day of November, 1933, pursuant to section 36 and section 61 of the Merchant Shipping (Safety and Load Line (Conventions) Act, 1933.

WHEREAS it is enacted by section 36 of the Merchant Shipping (Safety and Load Line Conventions) Act, 1933 , that the Minister for Industry and Commerce may by order appoint a date on which Part I of the said Act shall come into operation.

AND WHEREAS it is enacted by section 61 of the said Act that the Minister for Industry and Commerce may by order appoint a day on which Part II of the said Act shall, subject to the provisions of sub-section (1) of the said section of the said Act, come into operation.

NOW, THEREFORE, the Minister for Industry and Commerce, in the exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 36 and section 61 of the Merchant Shipping (Safety and Load Line Conventions) Act, 1933 , hereby appoints as follows:—

(a) The date on which Part I of the Merchant Shipping (Safety and Load Line Conventions) Act, 1933 , shall come into operation shall be the 1st day of January, 1934.

(b) The day on which Part II of the Merchant Shipping (Safety and Load Line Conventions) Act, 1933 , shall, subject to the provisions of sub-section (1) of section 61 of the said Act, come into operation shall be the 1st day of January, 1934.
