OLD AGE PENSIONS ACT, 1932, (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1932.

WHEREAS it is enacted by subsection (3) of Section 10 of the Old Age Pensions Act, 1932 , (No. 18 of 1932), that the said Act shall come into operation on such day as shall be fixed for that purpose by an order of the Minister for Finance made after consultation with the Minister for Local Government and Public Health,

AND WHEREAS before making this order the Minister for Finance has consulted with the Minister for Local Government and Public Health,

NOW, the Minister for Finance, in exercise of the power conferred on him by sub-section (3) of Section 10 of the Old Age Pensions Act, 1932 (No. 18 of 1932), and of every and any other power him in this behalf enabling hereby orders as follows :—

1. This Order may be cited for all purposes as the Old Age Pensions Act, 1932 , (Commencement) Order, 1932.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1923 (No. 46 of 1923) applies to the interpretation of this Order in like manner as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of the Oireachtas.

3. The 30th day of September, 1932, is hereby fixed to be the day on which the Old Age Pensions Act, 1932 , (No 18 of 1932), shall come into operation.
