Notification of employment by way of apprenticeship.

28.—(1) Every employer carrying on in the district of an apprenticeship committee the designated trade for which such committee is established who employs by way of apprenticeship any person in such trade in such district shall, within two weeks after so employing such person, send to such apprenticeship committee the prescribed particulars in relation to such person.

(2) If any such employer fails or neglects to comply with this section he shall be guilty of an offence under this section and shall be liable on summary conviction thereof to a fine not exceeding ten pounds and in the case of a continuing offence a further fine of ten pounds for every day during which the offence is continued.
