Application of certain moneys for relief of unemployment and distress.

1.—(1) Out of the sum which by virtue of sub-section (1) of section 2 of the Roads Act, 1920 , is charged on and issuable out of the Central Fund or the growing produce thereof in the financial year ending on the 31st day of March, 1932, the sum of £250,000 (two hundred and fifty thousand pounds) shall, in lieu of being paid into the Road Fund in accordance with sub-section (3) of the said section, be carried to a separate account to be established by and to be under the control of the Minister for Finance.

(2) The sum required by the foregoing sub-section of this section to be carried to a separate account shall be administered and applied for giving financial assistance, by way of loan or grant in such amounts and on such terms and conditions as the Minister for Finance shall sanction, to such schemes for the relief of unemployment and distress as the said Minister shall direct.
