Co-opted members of the Dublin Board of Assistance.

8.—(1) Subject to the limitation imposed by this section, the Dublin Board of Assistance may, whenever they so think fit, co-opt any person they think proper to be a member of that board.

(2) Every person co-opted under this section to be a member of the Dublin Board of Assistance shall, unless he sooner dies, resigns, or becomes disqualified, hold office as such member until the commencement of the meeting of the said board next after whichever of the following events first happens after his appointment that is to say, a triennial election of the members of the City Council or a triennial election of the members of the County Council.

(3) There shall not at any time be more than two members of the Dublin Board of Assistance co-opted under this section.

(4) Members of the Dublin Board of Assistance co-opted under this section are referred to in this Act as co-opted members.
