Definitions. |
1.—In this Act— |

|
the expression “the Minister” means the Minister for Local Government and Public Health; |

|
the expression “local authority” means and includes the council of a county, the council of a county or other borough, the council of an urban district, and the commissioners of a town; |
||
|
the expression “the Act of 1927” means the Local Elections Act, 1927 (No. 39 of 1927). |
