31/01/1930: Fishery Close Season By-Law No. C.S. 86 No. 9¹ Or Galway District


RIVER CORRIB, ITS LAKES AND TRIBUTARIES

ANNUAL CLOSE SEASON

I, FIONÁN O LOÍNGSIGH, Minister for Lands and Fisheries, by virtue and in exercise of the powers vested in me by the Fisheries Act, 1925 , and of every other power enabling me in this behalf, do MAKE AND ORDAIN THE FOLLOWING BY-LAW :—

(1) The periods heretofore appointed for the Close Times during which it shall not be lawful to take or fish for Salmon or Trout in the River Corrib, its Lakes and Tributaries, in the No. 91 or Galway District, shall cease.

(2) There shall be kept and observed in lieu thereof as the Annual Close Seasons of such fisheries in the said river, its lakes and tributaries, the periods set forth in the Schedule to this By-Law.

(3) The Interpretation Act, 1923 , applies to the interpretation of this By-law in like manner as it applies to an Act of the Oireachtas.

(4) This By-law may be cited for all purposes as the River Corrib Close Season By-law, No. C.S. 86, 1930.

(5) This By-law shall come into operation on this 31st day of January, 1930.
