THE UNION COMMITTEES (DUBLIN, BALROTHERY AND RATHDOWN) ORDER, 1930.

DEPARTMENT OF LOCAL GOVERNMENT AND PUBLIC HEALTH.

THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT (DUBLIN) ACT, 1930 .

The Minister for Local Government and Public Health, in exercise of the powers vested in him by the Poor Relief (Ireland) Acts, 1838 to 1914, and of all other powers in this behalf enabling him, does by this his Order, make the following regulations, that is to say:—

1.—This Order may be cited as the Union Committees (Dublin, Balrothery and Rathdown) Order, 1930.

2.—In this Order the expression "the Committees" means—

(a) the Joint Committee to be appointed for the Dublin Union by the City Council of the County Borough of Dublin and the Council of the Administrative County of Dublin, in pursuance of section 91 of the Local Government (Dublin) Act, 1930 ; and

(b) the Committees to be appointed by the Council of the Administrative County of Dublin in pursuance of sections 92 and 93 of the Local Government (Dublin) Act, 1930 , for the Rathdown Union and the Balrothery Union respectively.

3.—(1) The first meeting of each of the Committees in the year 1930 shall be deemed to be an ordinary and an annual meeting of the Committee and shall be held at twelve noon on the first Wednesday next after the day upon which the election of the Committee is completed.

(2) In each year subsequent to the year 1930, each of the Committees shall hold an annual meeting on the day which was the day of annual meeting in the year 1930, or if such day happen to be a Sunday, on the next succeeding day.

4.—The first business to be transacted at every annual meeting of each of the Committees shall be the election of a chairman and vice-chairman.

5.—Subject to the foregoing regulations, the regulations, rules and orders for the time being in force governing the proceedings of a board of guardians shall with the necessary modifications apply to each of the Committees in like manner as they apply to a board of guardians.
