STATUTORY RULES AND ORDERS. 1930. No. 53.

THE GAME PRESERVATION REGULATIONS, 1930.

I, JAMES FITZGERALD-KENNEY, Minister for Justice, in exercise of the powers vested in me by Section 32 of the Game Preservation Act, 1930 (No. 11 of 1930) and of each and every power me in this behalf enabling do hereby make the following regulations :—

1. The Interpretation Act, 1923 (No. 46 of 1923) applies to the interpretation of these Regulations in like manner as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of the Oireachtas.

2. Applications for Game Dealers' Licences shall be in Form A in the Schedule hereto or in such modification thereof as may be suitable.

3. Applications for renewals of Game Dealers' Licences shall be in Form B in the Schedule hereto or in such modification thereof as may be suitable.

4. Game Dealers' Licences shall be in Form C in the Schedule hereto or in such modification thereof as may be suitable.

5. Game Dealers' Registers shall be in two parts—Receipts of Game shall be entered in the Receipts Register which shall be in Form D in the Schedule hereto and Sales and Disposals shall be entered in the Disposals Register which shall be in Form E in the Schedule hereto.

6. Permission given by a Superintendent of the Gárda Siochána, pursuant to Section 27 of the Game Preservation Act, 1930 , for the export of partridge, pheasant, or grouse shall be in Form F in the Schedule hereto or in such modification thereof as may be suitable.

7. These Regulations may be cited as the Game Preservation Regulations, 1930.

The word "Game" includes game, birds and hares.

The expression "Game Birds" means and includes pheasant, partridge, grouse, quail, landrail, plover, snipe and woodcock and also mallard, teal, widgeon, and other species of wild duck, brent goose, barnacle goose, or other species of wild goose.
