S.I. No. 19/1930 - School Attendance (Statutory Forms) Order, 1929.


SCHOOL ATTENDANCE (STATUTORY FORMS) ORDER, 1929.

WHEREAS by section 23 of the School Attendance Act, 1926 , (No. 17 of 1926), it is enacted that the Minister for Education may by order prescribe any matter or thing which is in that Act referred to as prescribed or to be proscribed:

AND WHEREAS the form intended to be prescribed by this Order is in the said Act referred to as a prescribed form:

NOW, I, John Marcus O'Sullivan, Minister for Education, in exercise of the power conferred on me by the School Attendance Act, 1926 (No. 17 of 1926), and of every and any other power me in this behalf enabling do hereby order as follows:—

1. This Order may be cited for all purposes as the School Attendance (Statutory Forms) Order, 1929.

2. The certificate mentioned in sub-section (1) of section 5 of the School Attendance Act, 1926 (No. 17 of 1926), certifying any particular school to be a suitable school within the meaning of the said Act for the attendance of children to whom the said Act applies for the purpose of receiving elementary education shall be in the form in the Schedule hereto in lieu of the Form No. 1 in the Schedule to the School Attendance (Statutory Forms) Order, 1926.

3. The School Attendance (Statutory Forms) Order, 1926, and this Order may be cited together as the School Attendance (Statutory Forms) Orders, 1926 and 1929.

I hereby certify that the above-named school is a suitable school within the meaning of the School Attendance Act, 1926 , for the attendance of children to whom that Act applies for the purpose of receiving elementary education.

This certificate is given by me in pursuance of the provisions of sub-section (1) of section 5 of the said School Attendance Act, 1926 .

Note.—Under sub-section (1) section 5 of the said School Attendance Act, 1926 , the Minister for Education may at any time as and when he thinks fit revoke this certificate.
