THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT (TEMPORARY PROVISIONS) ACT, 1923 .

GALWAY COUNTY SCHEME.

To the Council of the Administrative County of Galway; to the Galway Board of Health and Public Assistance;and to all others whom it may concern:

WHEREAS by an Order under his Seal of Office bearing date the tenth day of July, 1923, called the Galway County Scheme Order, 1923, the Minister for Local Government, in pursuance of Section 4 of the Local Government (Temporary Provisions) Act, 1923 (hereinafter referred to as "the Act"), did confirm the Scheme prepared by the Council of the Administrative County of Galway in accordance with the provisions of the Act for the relief of the poor in their county and submitted to him, with such modifications, omissions and additions as should bring it into conformity with the provisions of the Scheme set out in the Schedule to the said Order (which said provisions are in the said Order, and in this Order referred to as "the Galway County Scheme").

AND WHEREAS the Galway County Scheme has come into operation and the Minister for Local Government and Public Health did in pursuance of Section 5 of the Act by an Order dated the eighteenth day of March, 1925, and by the County Scheme (General Amendment) Order, 1925, amend the Galway County Scheme.

AND WHEREAS I, the Minister for Local Government and Public Health, deem it necessary further to amend the Galway County Scheme by the addition of two new paragraphs to Sub-article (i) of Article 15 thereof, and did on the fourteenth day of February, 1928, give to the Council of the Administrative County of Galway one month's notice of my intention to make the said amendment, and have taken into consideration any representation which has been made to me by the said Council within such month in respect of the said amendment.

NOW THEREFORE I, the Minister for Local Government and Public Health, in exercise of the powers given to me by Section 5 of the Act, and of all other powers in this behalf enabling me, the said month having expired, do, by this my Order, order and direct as follows, that is to say:—

1. From and after the date hereof the Galway County Scheme shall be amended by inserting in Sub-article (i) of Article 15 thereof the following two paragraphs, that is to say:

(d) A District Hospital at Ballinasloe for the treatment of medical, surgical and maternity cases, and cases of infectious and contagious diseases.

(e) A District Hospital at Clifden for the treatment of medical, surgical and maternity cases and cases of infectious and contagious diseases.

2. This Order may be cited as the Galway County Scheme (Amendment) Order, 1928.
