STATUTORY RULES AND ORDERS. 1928. No. 10.

THE COURT OFFICERS ACT, 1926 (APPOINTED DAY) ORDER, 1928.

WHEREAS it is enacted inter alia by sub-section (2) of section 49 of the Court Officers Act, 1926 (No. 27 of 1926), that in the said section 49 and in the two following sections of the said Act the expression "the appointed day" means such day as the Minister for Justice shall by order appoint to be the appointed day for the purpose of those sections.

AND WHEREAS it is expedient that the 31st day of March, 1928, be appointed to be the appointed day for the purpose of the said sections of the Court Officers Act, 1926 ,

NOW, I, JAMES FITZGERALD-KENNEY, Minister for Justice, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sub-section (2) of section 49 of the Court Officers Act, 1926 (No. 27 of 1926), and of every and any other power me in this behalf enabling do hereby order as follows:—

1. This Order may be cited for all purposes as the Court Officers Act, 1926 (Appointed Day) Order, 1928.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1923 (No. 46 of 1923), applies to the interpretation of this Order in like manner as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of the Oireachtas.

3. The 31st day of March, 1928, shall be and is hereby appointed to be the appointed day for the purpose of section 49 and the two following sections (that is to say, sections 50 and 51) of the Court Officers Act, 1926 (No. 27 of 1926).
