STATUTORY RULES AND ORDERS. 1927. No. 59.

HORSE BREEDING (IRELAND) RULES, 1920 ; AMENDMENT RULES, 1927.

The Department of Agriculture and Technical Instruction for Ireland, by virtue and in exercise of the power for this purpose vested in them by the Horse Breeding Act, 1918, and of every other power in this behalf enabling them hereby make the following Rules, that is to say:—

1. These Rules may be cited as the Horse Breeding (Ireland) Rules, 1920; Amendment Rules, 1927.

2. These Rules shall be construed as one with the Horse Breeding (Ireland) Rules, 1920, and those Rules and these Rules may be cited together as the Horse Breeding Rules, 1920 and 1927.

3. So much of Rule 6 of the Horse Breeding (Ireland) Rules, 1920, as requires that an application under that Rule for a licence shall be lodged not later than the first day of September in the year preceding that for which the licence is required, is hereby rescinded, and in lieu thereof it is hereby prescribed that an application to the Department under the said Rule 6 for a licence shall be lodged with the Department not later than the 31st day of December preceding the season for which the licence is required, but the Department may in their discretion entertain an application for such licence at any later date.
